HAPPY EASTER!

We're Moving!

David called me two days ago to tell me he made an offer on a house we have been keeping our eye on since November.  We made an offer when we first found the house (right before Thanksgiving), but the owners thought it was too low.  Well...they thought it was too low for two weeks, then they called us back to say they'd accept.  But we had already found two other homes that we were considering so we decided to wait.  On Monday I looked up the home and saw that the owners finally lowered the price.  So David decided to make another (lower) offer and this time they accepted!  So patience paid off!  And we couldn't be happier.  We close in 30 days and then we'll have about a month of renovations.  So we'll probably be moving in about 2 months!

I'll be putting up lots of pictures once we're able to take some.  I'm hesitant to show you too much before we start updating the house.  You can appreciate the 'before' pictures more when we have some 'after' pictures with it!  :)  But I'll show you what sold us the house:

The Great Room:

When you walk in the front door you enter the great room (the kitchen, dining room, and entertainment area).  The room is huge, and more importantly to me, the kitchen is huge!!!  No more lack of storage!  Here are some pictures from the realtor's website.

Yes, the kitchen counters are PINK formica!  Needless to say we will be replacing them.  The cabinets on the other hand are a light maple and are in excellent condition, so those are staying (thank goodness, 'cause I can't imagine the expense of replacing them!).  The only other thing we'll be doing to the kitchen is putting in new appliances.  Oh, and floors and paint...but that will be throughout the house.

I love, love, love that I can be cooking dinner and hanging out with David and Avery.  What more could a girl ask for!?!  

Well that gives you a little taste, there will be LOTS more to come!  :)

Blueberries

Avery's favorite fruit/food is blueberries.  Ask her what she wants to eat and she'll answer with "ummmm, blue-blue".  I bought a huge container from Fresh Market two days ago and she's more than half way through it.  This afternoon I decided to make some blueberry muffins before they were all gone!

And Avery couldn't have been happier!  She loved them!
