Wedding Season

David, Avery, and I have spent the last three weekends celebrating as friends and family tied the knot.  I've already posted about Jill and Greg's wedding, theirs was the first of three.  After making it home from Atlanta, we started getting ready for Holly (David's younger sister) and Josh's big day.  All 3 of us were in the wedding, so it was a bit crazy, but turned out great!  Avery actually walked down the isle (as the flower girl)!!!  I can't wait to see the photographers pictures!  The colors that Holly picked for the dresses & flowers were gorgeous.  Every detail of the wedding had their personal touch, and at the end of the night everyone was commenting on how much FUN they had.  Here are a few pictures:

Josh sang "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing" during the ceremony.

After Holly and Josh's wedding, I started helping Jessica with the finishing touches for her and Sam's wedding.  Everything was done by the time her family arrived on Wednesday.  I was Jessica's matron of honor, and had so much fun being there for her all day Saturday.  David stayed home with Avery until the ceremony, and I thoroughly enjoyed my day off!  The wedding was in Thomasville, GA (a short, 45 minute drive from our house).  Despite the 'scattered thunderstorms', the day was beautiful.  Everything fell together perfectly, and I know the photographers (same ones David and I used for our wedding) will have some awesome pictures!  I can't wait to see them!  I don't have very many yet, but here are a few I've gotten my hands on:

It's a Girl!

We found out this morning that Avery is going to have a little sister!  I am SO excited!  The little one is very healthy, measuring at 12 oz, right where she is supposed to be.  Now that we know she's a girl, it's time to start the name game, we haven't thought much about it yet.  David really wanted Avery to be Makinley (not sure how we'd spell it...) so he's already rooting for that this time.  I'll be breaking out some books here soon, just to make sure Makinley is the best choice.  :)  We will see!  I'll be adding the ultrasound pics to this post as soon as I get the scanned onto the computer.

Jill's Wedding/Family Reunion

Last weekend we drove up to Atlanta for our annual family reunion and Jill's wedding.  We left early Friday morning at spent all day Friday by the pool.  Family arrived throughout the day, and it was great to see everyone again!  Avery had a blast spending the day in her bathing suit, and was worn out by bed time.

Saturday morning everyone was running last minute errands before the wedding.  Mom, Bonnie, and I ran to Target to pick up a few things, and ended up at the Old Navy next door shopping their HUGE sale!  Thanks for all the great clothes mom, Avery is adorable in them!  :) After nap time came Jill's wedding.  The ceremony was beautiful, and of course I cried...no surprise there!  Jill and Greg make such a great couple, here are some pictures from the night.

Sunday morning everyone went over to the Moore's new home on the Chattahoochee River.  The house is gorgeous and fit everyone comfortably.  We had a small church service and followed it with a surprise party for my grandpa's 80th birthday!  He was shocked, and it meant a lot for everyone to say thanks for all he's done.  We spent the afternoon enjoying the river.  Here's some pictures from the day:

We drove home after dinner Sunday, and got in around midnight.  It took us (at least Avery and I) a couple days to recuperate from the trip.  But we're back up and running now, and looking forward to another wedding weekend.  This weekend Holly and Josh say "I Do".  We're all in the wedding, including Avery as the flower girl.  We can't wait!  More on that next week. :)

***I can't take credit for a single picture in this post!  As most of you know I am terrible about taking pictures, so I've collected all that I can from other family members.  Thanks to you all for sharing!  :)  I'll be getting my dad's soon, and I might have a few others to post, as he tends to get great shots of Avery!

P.S. I've been feeling the baby move a lot the last two days!  YAY!  Only 5 more days until I can say boy or girl!

THANK YOU!

I spent this entire morning cleaning out my closet of clothes that I can't wear anymore, storing them, and filling the closet back up with LOTS of borrowed maternity clothes.  I'm finally at a point in my pregnancy, 17 weeks tomorrow, that my regular clothes just aren't getting the job done.  So I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Danielle and Jessica for lending me their shirts, shorts, pants, dresses, skirts, etc!  I love having a new wardrobe!  ;)  I had David take a picture of me yesterday before church in one of my 'new' dresses (credit to Danielle):

Saturday night was Jessica's lingerie shower.  We started out the night at Bella Bella (a local italian restaurant where I had dinner for my lingerie shower too!) and then came back to my house for drinks, dessert, and gifts.  It was such a nice night off, I may have enjoyed it more than Jess!  maybe...  ;)  Meanwhile David and Avery had a 'date' night of their own, visiting friends and staying out late (well past Avery's bed time anyway).  She was worn out by the time she got home and was happy to see her crib.  Happy Shower Jess, I can't wait till the wedding!

This weekend we will be heading to Atlanta for my cousin Jill's wedding and our annual family reunion.  I can't wait to see everyone!  I'm sure I'll have lots of pictures to post when we get back.  For now I'll leave you with Avery eating yogurt like a 'big girl'.  She can use a spoon pretty well now, the problem is I was on the phone and not paying very good attention...she decided her hands would be quicker:

We find out July 22nd whether we're having a boy or girl, I'll let you all know as soon as I do!  :)
